Name of Institute ABSTRACT: The role of work and work place has changed throughout the world due to economic conditions and social demands. Sometimes it seems 24 hours per day is not enough to tackle work and personal tasks. Both employees and employers realize that in the modern lifestyle, work & family matters have converged. Global competition, renewed interest in personal lives and family values and an ageing workforce are factors which contribute to the serious consideration of equilibrium between work and life. Work life and personal life are inter-connected and inter-dependent. Spending more time in office and pressures of jobs can interfere and affect personal life. On the other hand, personal life can also be demanding if you have a kid or ageing parents, financial problems or even problems in the life of dear relatives. It can leads to absenteeism from work, creating stress and lack of concentration at work. This paper presents the results of a study on work life balance of employees in an organization. The major objective of this research was to identify the need of work life balance in an organization, to find out the factors affecting work life balance of employees.
