How To Install: Quick Start

Select the section appropriate to your situation. If you do not find enough information here, refer to the complete HowToInstall.rtf. The same instructions apply whether you have downloaded from the web or have a CDROM, as the folder names are the same. Demo 1. Install the software in Fta32_Video. 2. Install the software in Fta32_Help. 3. Obtain a demo license from FTA and enter that number in the Log On screen. Upgrade 1. Uninstall old Fta32 Video. 2. Install the software in Fta32_Video. 3. Rarely: If required or desired, install the software in Fta32_Help. Installation on Known Good Machine 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. Install software before placing hardware in machine. Install frame grabber software, selecting type for your grabber. Rarely: Install hardware drivers for special, extra cards (e.g., ISA bus cards). Install the software in Fta32_Video. Install the software in Fta32_Help. Install the FTA license. Now: Turn off machine and install/connect frame grabber. Restart and run Found New Hardware Wizard to register the frame grabber driver. Run the frame grabber demo before attempting to run Fta32.
