Open the Jordan, Oh God (A prayer Heb.

4:14-16)

21/11/2011. Akure

Im at the brink of the Jordan, at the entrance to my promised land. I do not want to go back to the wilderness again. Even if there are boats, bridges or any other man made means of crossing, I refuse to cross with them. I ask for a miraculous splitting of the Jordan, that I may know you are the one leading me and that you are with me. Yes I see your presence and leadership in the pillar of cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night, I eat the daily supply of manner, I drink the water from the rock and experience victories in battles, yet, these things have become a normal thing to me that I scarcely believe it is not common to all men. I heard our fathers say the Red sea was miraculously spitted open and they walked on dry ground through the middle of water which stood as walls, and I believe it happened, this is why I want to see you in my case. Oh God, split open this proud Jordan that overflows its banks that I may cross on dry ground. I have the ark which contains your commandments, manna, the rod of Aaron which budded as a sign of priestly appointment, the mercy seat on which the atonement blood is sprinkled, even the blood of Jesus Christ with the Cherubim spreading their wings and looking at it. I have stepped into the Jordan in faith, what more shall I do? There is no going back. Open the Jordan or open the ground for my sake in Jesus name.
