Animal Farm Pumpkin Art Analysis Project

Part One Option One: Paint a caricature picture of a character in Animal Farm. Use specific artistic details that emphasize the characters role in the book and symbolize the Communist revolution parallels. The picture should have the name of the character/s on the picture.

Option Two: You and a partner use a pumpkin as your canvas. You will paint, decoupage, or otherwise decorate with any accessories you can find to truly capture the symbolic parallel this character has with history. (You cannot carve the pumpkin.)

*Both options will be completed in class. Students are encouraged to bring special paint colors and/or accessories if they apply for your project.

Part Two: Write a one page min/max analysis essay analyzing the details of the work of art. Persuade readers to appreciate the specific meaning of the picture and the historical parallels symbols. Every student will submit a paper.
