Vigilance for: HOW does background/experience/learning style affect LEARNING. IDENTIFY the NEEDS (language/skill) of the learner.

USE correct descriptive terminology relating to systems and skills. SELECT (SARS!) material that is APPROPRIATE to aid the learner's DEVELOPMENT. RATIONALISE using specific activities with learners. REFERNCE sources with CLEAR, ACCURATE language, APPROPRIATE to the task. Investigate the learning context and assess learner needs. PROFILE AND NEEDS ANALYSIS: intererests education previous experience reasons for learning HOW DO THEY AFFECT: OBSERVE strengths and weaknesses. IDENTIFY their needs in terms of skills AND priorities. ANALYSE samples, and FIND patterns indicating areas of need. Also, GIVE examples of good use of language. INDICATE learning style and preferences, RATIONALIZING comments to data. Identify sources for language development and, where appropriate, personal support. Suggest specific language focused activities and an explanation/rationale for the use of these activities with the specific learner outlined.
