As we begin 2009, youth in Baltimore continue to be murdered at an alarming rate. Last Saturday,
many, many people came out to listen to President Elect Obama and to dedicate themselves to being part
of the change On January 31st, individuals and groups working to save our children and youth will SPEAK-
OUT regarding the urgent necessity of all of us increasing our participation and involvement in efforts to
reduce youth homicides and ensure that all youth in Baltimore have the assets and supports needed for
their success. Organizations and community residents are asked to attend and encourage others to attend.
