YRCs evaluation results for "POL Sorb": "POL Sorb":

POL Sorb is composed primarily of activated natural peat moss which is lighter than clay but up to 14 times more absorbent. When POL Sorb is combined with fuels it absorbs, its BTU value increases and the cost of disposal decreases. Shops testing the POL Sorb found that "a little bit goes a long way." In fact, ONE (1) 2 cubic foot bag of POL Sorb has the absorptive capacity of FIVE (5) 40 pound bags of Oil-Dri. POL Sorb is also hydrophobic, which means it will absorb petroleum products mixed in water but it will not absorb the water. Outside spills during rain events can be handled more effectively utilizing POL Sorb. POL Sorb works excellent on paint spills. Paint residue should not be placed in dumpsters because of its hazardous waste classification. Paint absorbed by POL Sorb can be disposed of by incineration, lowering your disposal costs.
