    December 11, 2012 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Washington High School announces one of its mens soccer players, Austin Bergstrom, has been named to the 2012 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) High School Boys All-America Team. Austin is the only Iowa high school player named to the All-America Team.

    Austin is a senior at Cedar Rapids Washington and a three year letterwinner in soccer. His high school post season soccer honors include: 9th grade 2nd Team AllConference and Honorable Mention All-Metro; 10th grade 1st Team All-Conference and 1 Team All-Metro; and 11 grade 1 Team All-Conference, 1 Team All-Metro, Metro Co-Player of the Year, and 1st Team All-State. Austin was a member of the mens golf team in the fall and is currently a starting guard for the mens basketball team.
