Lesson 1

The Lion and the Mouse

One day a lion was taking a walk. He walked into the net. Help! he yelled. I cant get out. A fat little mouse came running along. She cried. Ill help you! are Oh! said the lion. How can you help? You too little. I can help! Youll see, she said. And she began biting the net into small bits. When the lion got out, he smiled. He said, You may be the little mouse. But youre a big help.

Lesson 2

The Giraffe
A giraffe has a small head. A giraffe has two small ears. A giraffe has a long neck. A giraffe eats leaves. A giraffe has four long legs. A giraffe has a short tail.

"About Thanksgiving"
When people think of Thanksgiving, remember the story of the Pilgrims and the Indians at Plymouth Rock. The Pilgrims first arrived in America on December 11 , 1620. They weren't prepared for the winter.From the 102 pilgrims who arrived on the Mayflower, forty-six died during the first few months. They had problems but they tried to have a good harvest, with the help of the Indians who lived near.
