It is one of the most popular Ayurvedic medicinal herbs, prescribed by a number of Ayurvedic practitioners. Triphala literally means three fruits. The three fruits contained in Triphala are Amalaki (Indian Gooseberry), Haritaki (Indian Gallnut or Terminalia chebula), and Bibhitaki (Beleric Myrobalan or Terminalia bellerica). Since Triphala is tridoshic equally balancing for Vata, Pitta and Kapha it is beneficial for all skin types. Triphala nourishes the skin, both directly and indirectly. Amla (Indian gooseberry), one of the three ingredients in Triphala, is the richest known natural source of Vitamin C. Apart from the rich source of Vitamin C, Triphala also contains calcium an important nutrient that helps enhance skin clarity and brings dull, tired skin to life. Preparation Of Triphala Rasayana Take 320 gms of Triphala Churnam(powder), which consists of 80 gms each of Amalaki (Indian Gooseberry), Haritaki (Indian Gallnut or Terminalia chebula), and Bibhitaki (Beleric Myrobalan or Terminalia bellerica). Add 240 gms of Yashti Madhuka powder( Mahuwa tree). Now add 240 gms of Madhuka flower powder (Bassia

latifolia flowers ). Add 480gms of pure cow ghee (not jersey cows) and make this as a paste. After mixing thoroughly, add 960 gms of pure honey and mix well. This becomes a 2KG of Triphala Rasayanam. Usage : Store this paste in a glass jar (do not use plastic bottles) and daily consume 10gms of this paste after dinner and sleep after 2 hours. Benefits Of Triphala Rasayanam

Triphala Rasayana is beneficial is promoting ojas, the finest product of digestion that prevents the occurrence of many diseases, creates luster and make the skin exude its natural glow and radiance. Also excess cold food like icecreams, soft drinks and fast foods should be avoided. Practicing Pranayama (breathing techniques) for atleast 15 minutes per day is advised. Always use old rice or wheat with a layer on it (not

completely polished rice or wheat). Also avoiding chillies and using pepper when needed is best for food.

Cracked Heels cure using Ayurvedic Recipes Cracked Heels Problem is due to excess heat flowing down the body to the feet. This is mostly seen in women in tropical climate zones as they dont wear proper footwear, no apply turmeric paste to their feet. Method No.1: i) Chandra bedhana Bhastrika pranayaam: Close right nostril and breathe out through left nostril only ii) Seetali Bhastrika pranayaam : Fold the tongue longitudinally and do Bhastrika pranayam. iii) Seetkari pranayam: Clench the teeth/jaws and do Bhastrika pranayam iv) Apply kaakarakaya/Haritaki (Terminalia bellerica) paste (bitter gourd) mixed with turmeric to the affected part. Recipe No.2: i) To reduce overheat mix Jeera (Cuminum Cyminum) (fry and make powder), Dhania (coriander) (fry and make powder), candy sugar equally in powder form. Usage: Take 1/2 spoon 3 times a day along with water. ii) Amla powder (Indian Gooseberry powder) mixed with candy sugar powder equally can also be taken thrice a day to reduce overheat. Benefits: The excess heat of stomach reduces and cracks of heel will be healed.

Recipe No.3: Ayurvedic Ointment/Cream for Cracked Heels : Bees wax (yellow) : 100 gm Saindhava lavanam(Rock Salt) : 100 gm (fine powder) Guggilam(Incense) : 100 gm (fine powder) Jeguru matti (Black Mud found near river banks) : 100 gm (powder) Jaggery : 100 gm (powder) Honey : 50 gm Ghee : 100 gm Pachcha karpuram (camphor balming) : 5 gm. Put bees wax in a vessel and heat on SIM flame by adding ghee little by little. Then remove from stove. Cool it and add Saindhava lavanam, jaggery powder, guggilam, Jeguru matti powder, honey. Mix iall contents uniformly to paste. Store it and apply the ointment to the affected parts of heel. This ointment also works well for cracks in the thighs. Benefits: Heals all cracks within 7 to 20 days. Very effective ointment.

Natural cure for Gas problem Recipe No.1: Sunamukhi, Triphala Churnam (150 gm) , black salt each 50 gm powder. Mix all the above powders with lemon juice to consistency. Grind them make paste to consistency and prepare round tablets equivalent to chana/nut size. Dry them in shade and store after they harden. Dosage : Small children : 1 No; Elders : 2 Nos. for 8 days.

Benefits: All stomach problems like GAS. Acidity, belching, lack of appetite etc . will reduce. Recipe No.2: Hing (Ingua) (hea and make powder after drying), Vamu, Jeera, pepper in equal proportion, mix and store. Can be used while preparing rasam, dal and curry. Benefits: GAS, acidity, burning of stomach etc will be cleared. Recipe No.3: Yogasanas and food tips: i) Uttaana padaasanam ii) Uttaana dwipadaaasanam iii) Pavana muktasanam iv) Bhujangasanam v) Yogamudrasanam vi) Vajrasanam for 10 min after meals vii) Avoid fridge water viii) Avoid oil fry ix) Cold food, new rice to be avoided x) Use naatu aavu milk xi) Avoid meat xii) Avoid breakfast, take juice before 10 am in the morning and before 8 pm in the evening. xiii) Avoid sleeping immediately after dinner (2 hours gap essential) xiv) Chew food 32 times xv) Eat without watching TV, talking and facing towards East. Recipe No.4: Karakkaya/Haritaki : 100 gm (Fry, pound and make powder) Sompu seeds : 20 gm (Fry and make powder)

Saindhava lavanam (rock salt) : 10 gm Mix all the three and store in a bottle. Take half spoon with water after meals. Benefits: GAS problem, worms, heavy belly, water in stomach etc are relieved. Belly size will be reduced. Constipation and indigestion will be eliminated. Recipe No.5: Take Agastya lehyam 3 spoons a day after meals/breakfast Recipe No.6 : Ayur Sambar powder: Heated Ingua : 100 gm Black pepper: 100 gm (Fry and pound to powder) Sonti(dried ginger) : 100 gm (Fry and powder) Jeera : 100 gm (Fry and powder) Vaamu : 100 gm (Fry and powder) Mix all powders and store. Can be used while preparing curry, dal or sambar. Benefits: GAS, acidity, burning of stomach will reduce. Recipe No.7 : Ayurveda chilli powder Curry leaves powder : 50 gm (Dry in shade, fry with 3 or 4 drops of ghee and make powder) Jeera : 10 gm (Fry and powder) Pepper : 10 gm (Fry and powder) Dhania seeds : 100 gm (Fry and make powder) Saindhava lavanam(rock salt) : 10 to 12 gm Cloves : 5 gm (Fry and powder) Mix all the powders and store. Take to 1 spoon powder in first morsel Benefits: Food will get digested easily, clears from al poisonous

gases in stomach, kapha will be melted, cold, cough reduces, excess heat reduces, generates appetite. Recipe No.8: Kishmish(raisin) : 100 gms Ginger : 20 gms Sompu seeds (Big size) ; 20 gm Pepper : 20 gm (Fry and make powder) Saindhavalavanam (rock salt) : little to taste. Mix all grind and prepare chutney. Can be taken along with roti Benefits: Kapha (Phlegm) eliminates, excess heat reduces, increases appetite, digestion improves, free motion, GAS is eliminated, acidity reduces. Ayurvedic cure for Migraine Head Ache Method No.1:Yoga & Pranayam: 1. Vipareeta karini 2. Matsyasana 3. Bhramari 4. Accupressure treatment : Press and release thumbs. 5. Meditation: Sit straight, close eyes and take deep breath. Visualise that good prana releiving headache is flowing into the head region. Retain the breath for few seconds in the region having pain and breathe out visualizing impure black/brown air coming out. Method No.2 : Migraine develops due to increase of kapha/Phlegm in head region. It also develops due to accumulation of gas, increase of fire element and also due to impure blood in head region.

Method: Add 2 tsps good turmeric to hot water and apply steam to head region. Impure gases will be relieved from hear. Dip one cloth in the same water and put fomentation in the effected region. Method No.3: Add 60gm candy sugar to lt. drinking water overnight. Drink the water early in the morning. Do not eat till one hour. Benefit: Migraine gets relieved within 4 to 7 days if followed daily. Method No.4: Migraine develops due to opposite behavior in particular season. 1. Do not sleep late. 2. Do not have excess thinking. 3. Do not take water in excess. Take only one glass of copper charged water early in the morning. 4. Do not go to places having excessive dust, chemicals etc. 5. Avoid pickles, Non Veg food Method No.5: Vishwamitra tailam Sesame oil : 200gm. (nuvvula noone) Vasa powder : 20gm Sonthi/Dried Ginger powder : 20gm Atimadhuram/Yashti Madhuka powder : 20gm Boil oil on SIM flame and add all powders slowly stirring after each addition. Boil till foam disappears and then remove. Store after it cools. Usage: Apply warm oil to the scalp every 3 days. After taking head bath do not sleep day time.

Method No.6: Headache balm : Add 100gm bees wax to 100gm of Viswamitra tailam after placing it on SIM flame. Stir till ointment/cream is formed. Store after cooling it. Apply balm to head region, knee pain, neck pain, etc. Method No.7: Boil 100gm. Naatu cows ghee. Add one fist full sebja leaves. Boil till the leaves blacken. Filter the ghee and store. Place the ghee in a dropper bottle and put 3 drops in nostrils before half and hour of taking food. Gives good results for headaches. Method No.8: Triphala powder :300gm (Fry with little ghee) Candy sugar powder : 100gm Mix all the powders and store in bottle. Take sp morning and evening daily. Benefits : Excess heat reduces, hair blacken, eyes, ears, teeth will strengthen. Headaches are reduced. Nadis in head work properly and gives good result for all headaches within 40 days. Method No.9: For instant relief: 1) Add sugar to water and drink. 2) Drink tender coconut water 3) Drink cold water. Method No.10: Take milk and coconut water in equal parts. Add equal amount of cows ghee to it and boil on SIM flame till ghee only remains. Filter and store the ghee. Put some ghee in dropper bottle and add two to three drops to the nostrils

and breathe in. Benefit: Migraine headache vanishes.
