Important Update -Crime Notification November 17, 2011

Bear Archstone Emeryville Residents: We were recently notified of the break-in of an apartment at our community. While we do not wish to alarm you, we did want you to be aware of the situation, Please know that we share your concern and are fully cooperating with the local authorities, who are investigating this matter. If you have any information regarding the break-in, please call the Emeryville Police Department at (510) 596-3700. As a reminder, we encourage you to report any illegal or suspicious behavior. Take a second look if something or someone appears out of place, or seems odd or curious. If something seems somehow wrong or worrisome to you, call community management to discuss the matter. Do this immediately. If there is a clear and present danger of harm, call 911 or the police department. In addition, we ask you to be mindful of the following: Do not leave valuables in plain sight in your car, in your apartment or on your person Keep your windows and doors (including patio doors) locked even when you' re at home Report any suspicious or criminal activity ~immedtatet to the local police department or call 911 Again, we certainly do not want to alarm you, but felt it was important to let you know of this incident. While the police have complete jurisdiction and our knowledge of the details is limited, we will keep you as closely informed as possible.
