ASSESSMENT: Students will not be given formal homework assignments on a regular basis. However, there will always be something for them to do at home! Most of the time, they will need to finish assignments that were not completed in class. I always have additional practice problems available, and will assign them for homework as needed. Students will be able to work on most assignments at their own pace, which means that some students may be working on different units than others at any given time. Weekly target deadlines will be given in order to check for progress and make sure that all students are able to learn the required material. Students are allowed to retake quizzes as many times as they want until they pass and/or achieve their desired grade. I allow corrections on tests, but only 50% of the lost points can be added to the original score. In averaging grades, all assignments are weighted as follows: Classroom Participation & Homework (10% each) Tests/Projects (20% each) Quizzes (40%)

LATE WORK: Any assignment that is not turned in on its due date will be subject to a 10 point deduction each day until it has been submitted. ABSENCES: All students are responsible for getting anything that they missed while being out. Please check the blog if you are absent to check for any important handouts that may be posted. If it is an excused absence, you have 5 days to make up any missing work without it being counted as late. EXPECTATIONS: I expect for all students to: Be respectful towards me and your classmates. Act like an adult if you want to be treated as such. Come to class on time and prepared to participate. Complete all assignments in a timely manner. Take responsibility for your actions. Put forth your best effort in everything you do. Come to me if you have any problems or need extra helpIm more than willing to assist in any way that I can!
