Characteristics 1. Used extensively as a case hardening steel for both carburizing and carbonitriding.---->(1) 2. Reasonably high hardenability. Application Gearshaftscrewwinchnutbobbinshaped roll.

Heat Treatment 1. Annealing Heat to approx. 850, furnace cooling. 2. Normalizing : Heat to approx.850~900, air cooling. 3. Quench: (1) Heat to 850~900, oil cooling. (2) Heat to 800~850, oil cooling 4. Tempering: Heat to approx. 150~200, air cooling.
