Advice and tips for creating outstanding

public narratives

Creating “Inspirational Speeches” that have people

spell bound and cooing with anticipation at your next
awe inspiring sentence is a mighty feat, especially if you’re a
novice at writing and this is your very first attempt at creating a
speech.

This task can be especially daunting when you reflect on or

discover some of the great minds that have blessed our history
books with the sheer magnitude of their wisdom and inspirational
words. Historical figures like John Lennon, Martin Luther King
and more recently Barack Obama have influenced millions of
people through the power of their words and Lennon and Luther
King still continue to inspire people long after their untimely
deaths. Each of these people has left an imprint on the world with
their Historical Inspirational Speeches.
John Lennon’s inspirational speeches are a must have for your
own inspiration and for a way through life. (Sorry to go of the
track but John Lennon is on of my all time favourite song writers
and poets and he gave some tremendous, unforgettable and an
amazing inspirational speeches within his short life time).

Although these people may be a world away from your own

experience as you sit staring frustratingly at a blank word
document or chewing nervously on the tip of your pen, it is these
people who you have to look towards if you too want to create a
master piece that is respected, admired and remembered
amongst your peers.

Of course I understand that you’re not leading a revolution or a

political assault on someone, but the same principles that drive
people like Lennon, King and Obama should also be the same
principles that drive you on towards creating that perfect speech.

Whether the speech you are looking to create is a Wedding

Speech or a Retirement Speech you have to start with the one
thing that the mentioned historical figures had in
abundance..........
VISION!!

Vision should be the starting point to anything you do in life and is

an especially important building block for writing an inspirational
speech. Once you have a vision you can then go about developing
a strategy which will eventually lead you to the end goal.

Lets put this another way. In the next few paragraphs we have
attempted to replicate the thought processes that we have used
to give examples of how vision may be used to write an
inspirational speech. We have then set this out into a logical and
easy to use format that depicts our progress from start to end
product.

Birthday Speeches – Steps to creating that perfect

birthday speech.

Step 1 – It is probably save to assume that being a birthday

speech you are familiar with most or all of the birthday party and
this in itself can give you a great deal of edge on someone who
may be creating a farewell speech or a retirement speech. In
most cases people attend a Birthday party because they want to
be there and in some way they hold some kind of affection for the
Birthday person. This means that one of the hardest parts of
public speaking has already been achieved, and all without doing
a thing..........gaining the public’s attention. This should give you
some confidence as the audience are primed to hear your speech
and are ready to give you their ear.

Step 2- At all costs you have to make some kind of an entrance.

The best way to achieve this is to have the DJ introduce you so
that all members of the Birthday Party are clear about what is
happening. Although this may go against your nature believe me
it is the best course of action. Remember what we discussed in
step one.

Step 3 – Start your speech with familiar anecdote or story that

everyone can relate to. Remember it is you’re Birthday and your
Birthday Speech, you are allowed to talk about yourself. Families
always have a memory or story that is passed around for all to
share. This gives everyone common ground and most importantly
it gives you a factual situation that has happened and you can
draw from.
Step 4 – Take your time and enjoy your speech. People will enjoy
the experience much more if you are enjoying the experience.
Remember step 1, they are your Birthday guests and it is you
they have come to see.

Furthermore and another great way of writing and delivering

some fantastic speeches is by investing in some motivational
material or motivational books. Motivation is a way of life and this
is something all the masters of motivation will teach. Making this
pat of your life will allow you to tap into this great asset and will
give you the confidence and will to deliver an unforgettable
motivational talk.
