Rev. Perry Bennett, Shirley Marie Graham, Ann Nesby, and the Bennett Family appreciate the outpouring of love and support theyve received during this very difficult time by the loss of the familys matriarch, Shirley Bennett. Affectionately known as Madea, Mrs. Bennett was beloved by her family, church, to the various communities she enriched throughout Rockford, Illinois and beyond. She was a kindhearted soft spoken woman who demonstrated compassion and showed love to everyone she came in contact with. In honor of her memory, the Bennett Family will host a public viewing on Friday, February 1, 2013 at Macedonia Baptist Church, 1720 Morgan Street, Rockford, Illinois 61102 from 1 p.m. 6 p.m. The viewing will segue into a musical concert in her honor from 7 p.m. 10 p.m. On Saturday, February 2nd the family will host the final viewing at Heartland Community Church, 1280 S. Alpine Road, Rockford, Illinois 61108 from 10 a.m. 11 a.m. with the home going services to commence at 11 a.m. 2 p.m. Your continual prayers are appreciated.
