DEVELOPMENT OF FINE GRAINED WC/Co ALLOY BY MECHANICAL ALLOYING TECHNIQUE

Mechanical Alloying (MA) technique is an effective process to control the properties of powders. For the research WC and Co micronic powders were used. The MA process was carried out in a Pulverisette 6 ball mill for 10 to 40 hours. From 10 to 10 hours were taken samples which were studied by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray diffraction analyses (XRD).
