DIFFERENCES BETWEEN HUMAN LANGUAGE AND ANIMAL COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

Both human and animal have communication system but their communication systems are totally different to each other. The primary difference of human communication is creativity. Human language can incorporate new basic element, produce new expression and sentences which is called as open system of language. However, animal communication is closed system as they cannot create new utterance which is also known as syntax. Human beings have unique set of design features. One of them is displacement which means that human can symbolize object, places and events whether they are already past or not. Human also can tell lie but animal communication is merely a response to stimulus in limited distance like the presence of danger. For example, birds. Birds will cry in their way to give signal to other birds that there is danger and the receivers will raise the cry. The important difference between human language and animal communication system is cultural transmitted. Human beings in different culture acquire different languages and by the influence of other culture, human can learn other cultures languages in course of time but not the animals as animals communication ability is transmitted biologically which means they follow their genetic in the case of communication. That is why they are unable to acquire other languages. In conclusion human language is absolutely different from animal communication because human language has many advantages which make it different from animal communication.
