Connect your Apple TV to the computer via the micro USB cable (do not connect the power cable). 2. Launch Redsn0w by holding down the control button, click the RedSn0w and then click the Open option.

3. With Redsn0w up and running click the Extras button.

4. Then click Pnwed DFU

5. Place your device in DFU Mode by holding the MENU and PLAY / PAUSE together for approximately 7 seconds. 6. Once Redsn0w confirms your AppleTV is in owned DFU mode, launch iTunes, HOLD down the Option Key and click Restore. 7. Now, navigate to the custom firmware (ending in _SP.ipsw) and click Open. 8. Sit back and let it runs its course, and when completed iTunes will let you know that you can disconnect your device. 9. 10. 11. 12. Now Connect the Apple TV to your TV like normal (power, HDMI and wifi/ethernet). Enable Home Sharing and AirPlay Note the Apple TV IP address, or rename it under Settings -> General. Open the ATVFlash (black) DMG and double-click the installer.

13. When prompted to select your Apple TV from a drop-down list.

14. When complete, the Apple TV will restart automatically for the changes to take effect. After installation all apps and updates can be installed directly on the Apple TV through the Maintenance --> Manage Extras menu.
