20th International Public Relations Symposium (BledCom 2013), June 14 15, 2013

Call for Papers The conference: BledCom symposium is an annual gathering of scholars and practitioners in public relations and related disciplines to discuss contemporary communication and management problems. So far, eight books and seven special issues of academic journals have been published based on previous symposia (see: www.bledcom.com.) Location: Hotel Toplice by picturesque Alpine Lake Bled in Slovenia. Topic for 2013: BledCom will celebrate the 20th anniversary of its symposia and will take place on 14 and 15 June 2013 under the title 20th Anniversary of BledCom conference: Trust and the New Realities. Over the past 19 symposia, BledCom has addressed a number of issues and topics. Many of these topics are relevant across time. To commemorate 20 years of debate and discussion, BledCom invites papers reflecting on, and addressing development in, any of the 19 themes from a past BledCom symposium. The past themes are available at www.bledcom.com. Call for Abstracts: The program committee invites 500 800 word abstracts addressing any or a combination of these themes. Papers can address the current relevance of any past theme to the field, the progress (or lack thereof) seen in the filed vis--vis a particular theme, etc. Papers may be conceptual or based on empirical data (using quantitative and qualitative methodologies). Among others, we invite attempts to analyze outcomes of previous BledCom proceedings or publications as also longitudinal studies addressing any of the 19 topics particularly given the reflective nature of this years theme. We would also be

interested in papers that analyze the cumulative effects of past bled themes. As always, the Committee welcomes papers from academics and practitioners. Panels: Panel Proposals are also welcome. The proposal should describe the title and focus of the panel, name of the chair of the panel, and names of every member of the panel and title or focus of each presentation.
