Airbag Aufbau

Den grten Anteil stellen Stauscke, die ber ein- oder zwei Innenscke aus PEHD (high density) oder PELD (low density) bestehen und 1 bis 6 Auenlagen Papier aufweisen. Die Papierlagen der Auenscke werden in g/m angegeben. Die eingesetzten Papiere sind hauptschlich Kraftpapier, Stresskraft-Papier und Hartpapier. Teilweise weisen die ueren Lagen eine PE-Beschichtung als Witterungsschutz auf. Airabgas aus Kunstoff kommen selten zum Einsatz.

Cargo-Pak air bags consist of several outer layers of tough, wetstrength paper. This paper is paper fibres have a diagonal structure, which ensures uniform high strength in all directions unlike most other types of paper, which are strong in one particular direction only. The inside film consists of a triple layer of environmentally neutral polyethylene, which has been co-extruded (i.e. melted into a single layer). This provides an optimum barrier to prevent air leakage, as well as ensuring that the bags remain completely sealed even during long transport.

Cargo-Pak air bags consist of several outer layers. They are all equipped with a patented valve which makes it possible to inflate them very quickly (and to deflate reusable bags very quickly as well). A big handle on the valve makes it easy and safe to use. Choice of valve depends whether you intend to re-use the airbag and on the size of the gap.

The cut in time consumption is well illustrated in this example from one of our customers: The company switched from its former method of cargo protection (wooden struts) to using Bates Cargo-Pak air bags to protect cable drums in its containers. It used to take four hours to get a container ready for dispatch because the wooden struts had to be installed as the container was filled. Using Bates Cargo-Pak air bags, the company can now pack a container in one hour.
