AN ACT CONCERNING THE MAXIMUM MUNICIPAL PENALTY FOR

RETRIEVAL OF A DIRT BIKE OR ALL-TERRAIN VEHICLE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General

Assembly convened:

1 That the general statutes be amended to permit a municipality to

2 prescribe a penalty in excess of two hundred fifty dollars for retrieval
3 of a dirt bike or all-terrain vehicle confiscated due to a violation of a
4 lawful municipal regulation or ordinance.

Statement of Purpose:
To increase the maximum penalty that a municipality may charge an
individual to retrieve a confiscated dirt bike or all-terrain vehicle.
