Labour turnover: The expected relationship between labour turnover & morale is nigative.Employees who are not satisfied with their career in the present organization may seek suitable employment in other organization. Productivity: Productivity is a ratio that compares units of output with units of input. If more outputs can be produced from the same amount of inputs , productivity is improved.

Waste and scrap: It has been observed that when morale is low laborers are careless in handling company proparty and equipments. It is also found that more rejected or substandard quality material is produced. Absenteeism and tardiness: The Labour Bureau Simla defined the term absenteeism as the failure of a worker to report for ,when he is scheduled to work.

EFFECTIVE COLLECTION OF INFORMATION RELATED TO MORALE.


Understanding the level of Morale: If management knows that the level of morale is low, than management can take appropriate actions by considering the various factors upon which morale is based. Effective communication: Communication flows in all directions when people plan and conduct the survey and discuss its results and impact. Thus the morale survey automatically brings the benefit of valuable communication.

Helps in improving attitudes: A morale survey serves as a safety value & an emotional release. Therefore it results in improvement of management attitudes and employees attitudes. Training: On the basis of such information training programs can be arranged for employees. Thus Morale information is useful in determining training needs.
