Associated Student Government University of Arkansas ASG Senate Resolution No. 41 Authors: Senator Amy West, Senator Rowan OBrien-Williams Sponsors: Senator Amy West, Senator Rowan OBrien-Williams A Resolution for Lower Unauthorized Permit Parking Fines Whereas, Whereas, The penalty for parking in a space not authorized by permit is a $50 penalty; and The penalty for parking on U of A property without permit is a $40 penalty and a majority of other violations range between $20 and $30; and There is a regulation dissonance in that a driver without a permit would face a lower fine than a driver with a permit; and In the concern for safety, there is a Safety Hazard violation that can cover any violation that may affect the safety of student, faculty, or staff; then The Associated Student Government supports lowering the fine for parking in a space not authored by permit to $30.
