Photo 1

This is the burn tool

This is my front cover photo. I have selected the burn tool by clicking on the toolbar on the left side of the screen and I used it by dragging it along the bottom of the photo to blur the image here. This gives the photo a darker background which makes it seem as if the person in the photo is a mysterious person which is the effect I wanted to create. I have cropped the photo to a more manageable size because beforehand it was too big. I did this by again clicking on the toolbar and selecting the crop tool. The photo was blurred and I have kept the blur because it was the effect I was going for and it helped with the air of mystery I was trying to portray. I didnt change the background because black was the colour I wanted anyway, as it fits in with the theme of mystery again. With this photo, I was trying to imitate a copy of Mixmag where a blurred front cover image was used.

Jack Vincent Photo 2

In this photo I sprayed the background using the black spray paint tool, which is also located on the toolbar. I did this because the photo was very bright and I wanted to make the photo look grimy and dark. I didnt crop the photo down because it is supposed to be a large photo, in order to fit on the VIP page. The

Jack Vincent photo was really bright so I had to change the brightness and contrast in order to make it darker. I wasnt trying to imitate a particular photo in this case. Photo 3

On this photo, I adjusted the brightness again in order to make it darker, for the same reason as the previous photo. The photo is blurred because he is doing a trick and is therefore in the air. I left it like this in order to give the effect that he is doing a trick. I have made this photo small because it will be the small picture, which is included in the article. This is related to picture three as they both have the same effects and are performing similar actions.
