Cunningham was a sailor aboard the USS West Virginia. He and two others were on officers boat duty when the bombing occurred. Mr. Cunningham discussed what the attack was like and how devastating it was. According to him, the scene was terrifying, but they were taught to remain calm. He still remembers this day well.
