The National Centre for Training and Development exists to educate and inspire people to higher levels of performance, personal development, health and self-awareness.
Since 1989, the National Centre for Training and Development has been designing and delivering corporate learning programs to enhance the performance and improve the productivity of teams, managers and leaders. In consultation with clients, the Centre has developed a range of high quality, professional development programs to equip these groups with the skills to work effectively together, respond to change productively and move organisations in the direction of their goals. Teampower - A residential program, focusing on developing people to be more creative and effective in all areas of their work and personal lives. This program takes place in the beautiful bushland setting of Dwellingup in Western Australia. The program provides a unique opportunity for organisations to develop new resourceful approaches to achieving results. Trailblazer - A nationally accredited certificate program, facilitated over two or three days which focuses on communication, teamwork, learning and performance strategies to assist participants to achieve improved results.

Teacher Training
Making Learning Fun: This skills development program for teachers and school management teams provides accelerated learning and superlearning strategies to assist teachers in motivating and inspiring students to learn faster and more effectively in the classroom.

Youth Programs
Supercamps - Separately designed for children and teenagers, these educational fun camps are coordinated by specialist Outdoor Challenge Educators. Life skill activities include communication, goal setting, breaking through learning difficulties and effective study methods and memory skills. Outdoor challenges include abseiling, bushcraft, rafting, team challenges, water activities and archery. Trailblazer for Schools - Designed to motivate students by their own vision of success in the personal, academic and social world.

Job Seeker Programs


Trailblazer - A two-day learning and life skills program used in employment placement enterprises throughout Western Australia to prepare people for rapid and effective job search. Job Success - Job seeking skills course for youth.

Staff Development Seminar Series


Whilst also available as single presentations our seminar topics are, designed to link together as an integrated training program. The ideal session time is between 60 - 90 minutes and sessions are best suited to groups of between seven and 30 participants. The workshops/seminars are designed to be stimulating and dynamic and to give participants simple and effective strategies that can be applied directly in the work situation. Participants receive quality information and active participation is encouraged. A careful blend of theory and activities means that all learning styles are catered for. A selection of our workshop/seminar topics include: Strategic Goal Setting: Introduces five key concepts in setting effective goals and demonstrates how to stay on track. Creative Thinking and Problem Solving: Introduces the key points of effective problem solving, stimulates some personal reflection on ways of dealing with problems. Success Habits of Highly Effective People: Introduces the habits practised by effective people, explores individuals habits and looks at strategies for taking charge and becoming more effective. Delegating and Supervising: Outlines the myths that block effective delegation. Highlights strategies for effective people management. Looks at leadership styles and supervising for maximum results and teaches effective ways of motivating people. Setting Priorities and Becoming More Productive: Provides effective tools for personal management and teaches time management strategies. Creating a Peak Performance Team: Teaches the key attributes of productive teams, measures current team performance, shows strategies for improving basic teamwork strategies and skills. Managing Stress and Pressure: Looks at factors that lead to a highenergy, low-stress way of life, and strategies for dealing with stressful thinking. Dealing with Change and Moving Forward: Avoiding the Comfort Zone. Shows how to develop new skills through accelerated learning and proactive ways of dealing with change. Boost Profits through Improved Communication: Provides strategies for communication in a professional setting and looks at how communication is affected by personality styles. Personal Profiles and Operating Styles: Looks at personal working, learning and behaviour styles and outlines strategies for working harmoniously with others. Attitude is Everything: Outlines approaches for creating positive work environments, gives strategies for dealing with negativity and dealing with difficult people.

Catherine Gavigan
Catherine Gavigan is a Director of the National Centre for Training and Development, an organisation which has, for the last ten years, been at the forefront of the development of innovative training and performance programs for the corporate and government sector throughout Australasia. Catherine is an experienced speaker, educator and corporate trainer. For twenty years she has been presenting performance enhancement programs in Australia, New Zealand and Asia. Also the designer of Teampower - this highly successful staff development program is used by Corporations throughout Western Australia.

Greg Nunn
Greg Nunn is a Director of the National Centre for Training and Development. During the past fifteen years he has designed and facilitated staff development programs for government and corporate clients throughout Australia, Asia and New Zealand. A specialist in team-development strategies, Greg has developed unique training methodologies that enable teams to break through performance barriers and achieve excellent results. His Trailblazer programs have achieved National Accreditation and have been presented to thousands of corporate and government participants throughout Australia. He has lectured at several Australian universities, including the University of Southern Queensland, Edith Cowan and the University of Western Australia.
