CHED aims to rationalize the conduct of educational tours and / or field trips among higher education institutions (HEIs).
Educational Tour is an extended activity involving the travel of tivity i students and supervising faculty outside the school campus which is relatively of longer duration usually lasting for more than one day and with relatively more places of destination than a field trip.

Field Trip is an eductional activity involving the travel of students and supervising faculty outside the school campus but is of realtively shorter duration usually lasting for only one day and with fewer places of destination.

CMO 17 s. 2012 Policies and guidelines on Educational Tours and Field Trips of College and Graduate Students CMO 11 s.1997 Enjoining all higher education institutions (HEIs) in the country to make insofar as practicable, all registered museums and cultural sites and landmarks as venues for educational tours and field trips and subjects for studies and resear researches.

HIGHLIGHTS
Students Medical Certificate should be submitted to the school. Parallel activity should be given to students who cannot join the educational tour/field trip. Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) should be given due consideration. Educational Tour/Field Trip should not be made as a substitute for a major examination. Destination should be near the concerned HEI. Details about the educational tour/field trip should be discussed during the Orientation Program discuss before the start of classes. Risk Assessment Procedures for the educational tour/field trips should be discussed with the concerned students and their parents/guardians. Schools should inform CHEDRO of proposed educational tours/field trips at the start of the AY.
