The first quarter of the year signals the start of preparation for CSA’s
participation in the year round Manila Employee Relation (MER)
activities.

Spearheading our departments preparations are Marie Joyce Bati and

Harold Cruz. They have been designated by our DM Eric Tanjutco as
CSA representative to the MER committee.

As of this writing, MER is still on the planning phase of the 2009

activities. According to Joyce, the events lined up for 2009 will be as
healthful and exciting as last year, albeit tempered due to the global
financial crises. A survey was rolled-out last January to FDIP general
membership by the MER to help in their planning and capture a broader
interest.

Bati said that she encourage all the CSA members to support MER
activities this year by joining the events and being part of a healthy,
happy and active team.

“Start honing your skills and get those muscle moving to prepare for an
explosive strike, a fast break lay-up, a dagger spike, a runaway finished
and a grand performance finale”, Bati added.

It was learned that a group of REC & BP whiting CSA members have
been doing nightly jogging around the fun run course. Habshan 5
members are continually having their badminton friendly games and the
CSA dribblers have their regular scrimmage sessions.

MER is dedicated to support "work-life balance" concept by providing

activities that relieve stress, promote active lifestyles and creativity and
foster teamwork and camaraderie amid an atmosphere of good-natured
competition among FDIP employees.
