ASSIGNMENT 2 TENDERING AND ESTIMATING

TASK You have been selected as a cost advisor by X contractors (Pvt) Ltd, for commercial building complex comprising two structures of ten stories each. X who is an eligible contractor will submit their tender with priced BOQ within time. It is to be expected after the tender evaluation that X contractors (Pvt) Ltd. is the lowest and expected the project to be awarded to them and in anticipation of such project. Your role would be to make aware for success in this project. Your special attention should be drawn into the following points and prepare your individual report. P2.1 P2.2 Explain how do you collect data to build up unit cost such as labour plant and material. Analyse how do you apply coverage rules while you are using SMM7 or CESSM 3 to build up a unit rate (provide examples). Prepare a method statement suitable for building a unit cost using.
