Readme for the GUI

Go the folder where the code is stored, you will find a file called P31MRS.m. run P31MRS.m, you will see the below window open..

Note: Make sure that the sdat dile is in the same folder where the code is situated Now Enter the Filename in the box for filename in the top left corner Enter the x and y, which are the voxel co-ordinates. Press, the pushbutton, you will see the uncorrected , unphased spectra, as shown in the next page

Now Press on the Apodisation bar, You will see a new window opening, select the appropriate center and the width to make the data apodised. The figure of Apodisation window is shown in the next page, The value entered in the top left window is the center of the Gauss filter while bottom left is the width. Once The values are entered press the push button, (refer the next page for figure) and then close the window

Now Press the push botton in the main window to see the apodised signal Now, phase correct the spectra by adjusting the first order phase from the text box, and for the first order phase move the bar on the right of the main window Remember that you need to press the push button, every time to change the phase values... Finally, you will see the a phase corrected and apodised spectra as seen in the next page

The next step is to correct the baseline, Press on the Baseline button You will see a new window open, please refer the next page for the figure. Enter all the parameters seen and press on the Final_select button

After Final_select button is pressed, go to the main window and press on the Fitting Button After some time you will see the fitted signal Appear

Other Notes:

Please note that data is stored systematically by the software package Here is a list of MAT files and what they correspond to 1. raw_data.mat - Contains the FID without any filtering or phase correction 2. filter_val.mat - filter values, mean and the width 3. TD.mat - Contains the phase corrected and Apodised FID 4. Final_data.mat - Contains the baseline corrected signal 5. EST.mat - Contains the baseline 6. FIT_COEFF.mat - contains the co-efficients of fitted curve All these .mat files can be loaded in MATLAB workspace by a simple command, ( load example.mat) Now, you can see the variable in the work space
