About This Book

This anthology was created in March 2013 by the first grade students in Mrs. Hayes' ELA class at Pine Glen School in Burlington, MA. After learning about graphic novels with Librarian Mrs. D'Elia, students drafted their own comic strips on paper. Working with Art Te a c h e r M i s s F a l l o n a n d Instructional Technology Specialist Mr. Callahan, the students created their panels in the Drawing Pad app on the iPad, then put them into panels with the Strip Designer app. Mr. Callahan compiled all of the strips using Book Creator.
