Section III: Bloom / Gardner Grid: add activities for different MIs along the Blooms continuum.

Students will list as many details they know about the 5 Health Related Components using the Mind Meister map and then share verbally what they came up with. Mind Meister Mapping* Summarize the main point to the following article. Share with a partner what your results were. Physical Fitness for Kids Students will implement the information from the 5 health related component to formulate a fitness goal that they want to achieve by the end of the month. Student will verbally record this goal on their mobile device in the voice memo app. *In small groups, students will create a restaurant menu organizing the different foods in the food groups. Students will publish their work through Photoshop or iDraw for ipad. Students will compare different fitness activities and decide which health related category they fall into. (Stretching =Flexibility) Refer to Live Strong Fitness for a list of activities. Student can then share results aloud. Students will use their mind map from Mind Meister and insert that into the Nobility app where they can critique, add more details, and share their information with a partner. Student will use Glogster.com to produce an online poster with all the different physical activities that have been discussed related to the heath and fitness components. Student can share their poster with their iPad using the apple TV with rest of the class if they choose.

Interpersonal

Students can Skype with a classmate and identify and define the fitness vocabulary.

Students will provide an explanation, and post their response to a question on Edmodo.

In small groups, students will compare foods and create a well balanced meal using Zisboombah.com "Where it's okay to play with your food"

With a partner, students will decide and list what exercises burn more calories and what foods are healthy snacks using this website. The Snack Neutralizer

While in groups, students will plan and produce a video using the iPad or mobile device, edit their video clip on iMovie. Student share with the class. The video will include anything from the content covered.

BodilyKinesthetic

Students will partner up and use the In Class app to create a fitness schedule using. Their fitness schedule should include activities that reflect and describe the different 5 related health components.

Students will group up and choose one of the 5 related health components and create an interpretive skit/play scene. Type is out using Word, and recorded with a mobile device and shared in class using the Apple TV.

Students will be placed in small groups. Each group will research different food sites and apply what they know about food. Students will decide on one that they think is a good resource. Each group will post their website link onto Edmodo for the other groups to access.

Student will use Mind Mash app to outline, compare and organize the different activities that the students enjoy and how they are related to the 5 health related components.

Students will Skype and discuss a food plan the length of one week. Students will decide if they need to change or add things to their meal plan.

Students will design a dance workout routine and record their dance on Just Dance game using the Xbox Kinect.

Intrapersonal

Student will create an outline using Mind Meister to recall or list the different physical activities that he/ she enjoys to participate in and with 2-3 details describe why you included this activity.

Each student will access Choose My Plate. Click on the Physical Activity Tab located at the top. Summarize in 1-2 paragraphs the importance of Physical Activity. Submit your response on Edmodo.

Naturalist

Students will generate a list of foods from the different foods groups. However, students need to decide what is the healthier choice. Post results on Edmodo.

VisualSpatial

Students will create flashcards from the A+ Flashcard Study Helper Using information from the 5 health related components and quiz another partner.

Students will create a food map/menu of the different healthy food choices using Pages. Student may access Zisboombah to classify and demonstrate understanding of the different food categories. Students will interpret and classify an activity related to each of the five Health related Fitness components. Students will create and illustrate one post card for each activity. Musical Rhythmic

Students will recall information to create an acrostic poem using the 5 health related components and type it in a Word document that can be attached and submitted through Edmodo.

In small groups, students will review and summarize their different fitness goals and the benefits of regular physical activities while listening to background music through iTunes on their iPad. or Pandora.

Students will interview another teacher or 2 students finding our what types of food they eat and how much do they exercise per week. Using Fodey's Newspaper write an article about what information they received and compare it to what they know about fitness and nutrition. While being outside, job a warm-up lap, and with a partner, practice using the Heart Rate app to monitor your heart rate on your mobile device. Cardiograph Heart Rate Meter Student will design a online comic using the Comic Life app to illustrate a conversation between two friends and their plans for the summer. Their plans have to include activities that reflect the 5 heath related fitness components. Comic Life In small groups, students will listen to music using iTunes and decide which songs could be applied to a warm-up, cardio exercises, and a cool down.

Students will make trading cards using Read Write Think: Trading Card Creator to organize their understanding and analyze the differences between the 5 health related components.

Students will use the Fleetly Fitness App on their mobile device or on their iPad. Student will compare and reflect on their fitness goals and performance of the different fitness activities that they have performed throughout the week while checking for improvements *

Students will setup an individual account on Fleetly Fitness App and design a set of personal goals for this weeks exercises. Student will also record their results on the mobile device or iPad each day before leaving class.

After completing you list of healthy foods on Edmodo, compare your list with a partners list and determine if she/he can add or eliminate any foods, then repost results.

In small groups, students will go outside and take digital photos of a stretching sequence. Student swill then evaluate the photos and decide if the exercises where performed correctly. Students will capture a photo on a mobile device of their partner and decide what health related fitness component they were performing.

Using the following website Kids Health, students will compare the information and relationship between nutrition and exercise. Kids Health

Students will create a list or table of physical activities and the different life stages that the activity is recommended for. Student may use Excel or Mind Mapping to record and organize their information. Students will have an opportunity to spend time participating on the Nintendo Wii. After participating in activities on the Nintendo Wii sports games, students will compare and contrast whether they feel they get a workout comparable to an activity outside.

Students will critique and evaluate by listening to the song recorded on Garage Band. Then they will decide if the song helps them remember the information related to the 5 health components. If not, then they will have an opportunity to change and experiment with another song or

Students will research the health problems that can be prevented from regular exercisers. Student will find the percentage of Americans who have been affected by these diseases or health conditions. Record your results by creating a Mind Map. Mind Meister.com

Students will play Zisboombah app on the iPad to practice placing appropriate foods in the correct food groups .

Students will have the opportunity to go on a Grocery Store Scavenger Hunt. Student will fill a graphic organizer Grocery Store Scavenger Hunt Organizer in Word and compare and contrast the amount of affordable healthy food options.

Students will use an Excel spreadsheet to fill out and calculate the amount of calories from food that they consumed for the week. Each student will evaluate and decide if they were in a healthy food range. Student can also refer to Choose My Plate.gov for more food information.

While in a small group, students will create an advertisement for food that is healthy and tasty. First, they will research some internet sites that advertise healthy and unhealthy foods. Design your ad using PosterMaker app on their iPad.
