Associated Student Government University of Arkansas ASG Senate Resolution No. 56 Authors: Senator Elizabeth Kyle, Senator Elizabeth Pittman Sponsors: Senator Elizabeth Kyle, Senator Elizabeth Pittman A Resolution to Support the Installation of a Crosswalk Signal at the Intersection of Leverett and Maple Whereas, University of Arkansas has an established policy promoting crosswalks and crosswalk signals as an important part of campus safety; and There is not currently a crosswalk signal at the intersection of W. Maple Street and N. Leverett Avenue to continue walking on the north side of Maple Street; and The establishment of a crosswalk signal at this location would promote the safety of pedestrians and help prevent tragedies; then The Associated Student Government recommends that Facilities Management, UAPD, and Parking & Transit collaborate to install a crosswalk signal at the intersection of W. Maple Street and N. Leverett Avenue to allow pedestrians a safe and legal way to cross the intersection.
