Field Experience Armstrong Middle School Flint, Michigan January 2013 - Present Grade Level: 7 Mentored by a seventh grade teacher for language arts and mathematics Planned and co-taught language arts lessons pertaining to Black History Month Taught small group lessons for writing intervention and mathematics Developed and taught mathematic lessons for integer practice Developed and taught guided readings for Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry McMonagle Elementary School Flint, Michigan February 2013-Present Reading Lesson - Grades 1 and 5 Observed the reading skills of one first grade student, then taught the student a reading lesson about sequencing and retelling a story Observed the reading skills of one fifth grade student, taught the student a lesson about sequencing and retelling a story, then created a lesson plan regarding graphic organizers while reading non-fiction material and will be implementing lesson in April 2013 November 2012 Mathematics Lesson - Grade 4 Co-created a lesson with other education students about multiples and factors, observed the lesson being co-taught to six students by half the group and used observations to make improvements to the lesson, then co-taught the lesson to another set of six students March 2012 Family Math Night - Grades K-6 Co-created and implemented mathematics game called Multiplication War for Family Math Night which brought a creative way to learn about multiplication. Adapted the Multiplication War game in the moment for younger students and implemented Addition War
