ITALY

Is a sovereign member of the European Union; Its capital is Rome, which is also the largest city. Other major cities include Milan, Naples, Turin, Palermo, Genoa, Bologna, Florence, Bari, Catania and Venice.

LANGUAJE
The official language and spoken by the majority is the Italian of the Indo-European language family romances. There are also areas where people speak German, French, Catalan, Croatian, Greek and others.

CULTURE
It is the most powerful and important civilizations in world history because it is the home of many European cultures such as the Etruscans, Greeks and Romans, and was also the cradle of Humanism and Renaissance. It has been for centuries the political and cultural center of Western civilization which held major technological innovations and legislative as the invention of cement.

POLICY
The policy is based on a parliamentary republican system with representative democracy is also a multi-party system.

EDUCATION
Education in Italy is one of the best in the world, in that sense, the Italian Constitution decrees that the school must have free access to students. In this country, education is compulsory for citizens as well as secondary education.

TOURISM
Tourism is one of the fastest growing sectors in the national economy, making it the fourth largest in the world with more tourism. Rome, the capital, is one of the most visited destinations in the world, with an average of 7 to 10 million tourists a year.

RELIGION
The dominant religion is Roman Catholic religion, practiced by 84% of the population. They profess other religions lesser extent, as a Protestant, Muslim and Jewish.
