The research foresees no substantial differences in the financial behavior of the rural consumer towards the bank and microfinance institutions as such. The age, the educational backgrounds, the current occupation and related aspects seem not to figure in the behavior pattern formation. Thus it can be recommended that the financial inclusion efforts need to win over the trust and make the rural people think about this way of money keeping rather than misguiding them. The governments recent government to citizen payments scheme for distribution of subsidy can be effective in shaping the peoples financial behavior. The direct cash transfer
