How-To: Cut & Loop a Section of a Song

Using Apple Garage Band 08

Open the Garage Band Application Click Create New Music Project Choose a title Saving location Click create

STEP 1

Click red circle to exit the grand piano keyboard On the ribbon, click Track then delete track

STEP 2

Click on the media icon to the bottom right of the screen Click, Drag, and release your favorite song into open space on screen

STEP 3

Double click the orange bar In the editing section, place your mouse where you want the loop to start, click and highlight all music to the left then press delete Place mouse where you want loop to end, click and highlight all music to the right then press delete

STEP 4

Be sure to move music bar all the way to the left to ensure no pauses at the beginning Click on the arrow icon to turn cycle region on Drag yellow cycle region bar to be the same length as your section of the song
