What are important statistics should we know? Can you give examples of how it is affecting people now? (3-5 sentences)

Future: What will happen in the future if nothing is done about this issue? What other problems might occur if we dont try to address or fix this issue? What will the earth be like if this issue continues to get bigger over the next 50 or 100 years? (2-5 sentences)
