Assessment Of Advanced Placement Participation And University Academic Success In The First Semester: Controlling For Selected High School Academic Abilities. The three authors document their study on how pre-college criteria, high school rank, and SAT scores are used to categorize students. Out of the 9,075 students that participated in the study, 3,360 students, or 37% of the participants, had come into college with some form of college credit via AP testing prior to their freshmen year.
