Kids Golf Canton Local Tour Marches On Players continue to post impressive scores at Flying B Golf Course The U.S. Kids Golf Canton Summer Local Tour is underway and scores have been impressive through the opening tournaments. Flying B was a difficult test for our field, said Doug Lemons, Director of the Canton Local Tour. Our players had to overcome a lot of tough obstacles to post some great scores, but they did so with the utmost sportsmanship. Among the most impressive scores is a 77 by Gunnar McCollins of Massillon. Out-of-towner Justin Hand of Ellwood City, Pa. recorded the low boys 9-hole score with a 40. On the girls side, the 18-hole low score belongs to Alexandra Bozich who fired an 83. The low 9-hole score is shared by Alexia Siehl and Kalina Siehl who both shot a 42. Players participating in the Canton Local Tour earn points based on finishes. Listed below are the current leaders in each age division. At the end of the tour, the Player of the Year in each age group receives an invitation to the 2013 World Championship in Pinehurst, N.C. The next stop on the Canton Local Tour will be Sunday July, 15 at Sable Creek Golf Club in Hartville, Ohio.
