Ambassadors to the Jewish People

Pastoral Recommendation
To Those Considering Gerry, While Gerry Dumoulin was here at Hillside Bible Baptist Church, my observation was the following: He exemplied holiness. Gerry was always conscience of walking right with the Lord. I found Him always willing and wanting to know more of the Lord. His greatest passion that he displayed (and it was a great passion) was the reaching the lost. Gerry was willing to evangelize at any moment.

Another great quality that I believe will make him a great leader, is his tenacity to keep on no matter the obstacles that arise. He displays a willingness to listen to authority and I believe that is a great mark of a leader. Gerry is not afraid to step out in faith to serve the Lord or to step up to be a servant in whatever capacity, again a mark of a leader. In church life, he has all that is needed to serve God. What makes him an extraordinary person is that he doesnt forget his family. All in all, Gerry will be an attribute to any church and missions program. He is loyal, dedicated and steadfast in his work. His presence here is missed, a young man who was an

example oftentimes to the older men. It is an honor that he chose and understands the Great Commission to reach people for Christ.

Our Doctrine:
The Word of God We believe that the sixty-six books of the Bible are verbally inspired (God-breathed) and without error in the original languages and that they are the supreme and nal authority in matters of faith and practice. (II Timothy 3:15-17) Security of Believers We believe in the security of believers and that in Christ men and women are saved for eternity, that it depends entirely upon the nished work of Christ. A born-again person is the eternal possession of God, and is kept secure in His everlasting hand. Nothing shall separate believers from the love of God in Christ Jesus. (John 5:24; 10:27-30; Romans 8:31-35; I John 2:1-2) The Church We believe that the local church is an autonomous, baptized (immersed) body of believers unied together by their faith in Christ, preaching His Word, practicing His teachings and obeying His command to go into all the world with the gospel. The ordinances of the church are two-fold, baptism and the Lord's Supper. The ofcers of the church are two-fold, pastor and deacons. Christ is the Head of the Church. The complete body of Christ is a spiritual organism consisting of all born-again believers of the New Testament dispensation. (Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 20:28; Ephesians 1:22-23) Heaven and Hell We believe in the eternal blessedness of the saved in heaven, and the eternal punishment of the lost in hell. Heaven is a place which Christ has prepared for His own, and hell is a place prepared for the devil and his angels. Men and women will go there because they are lost sinners and reject the gospel and God's free offer of salvation in Christ. (Mark 9:43-48; Luke 16:19-31; John 14:1-3; Revelation 3:12; 20:14-15; 21:4) Last Things We believe in the imminent, pre-tribulational Rapture (catching away) of the Church. We believe in the premillennial, visible, bodily return of Jesus Christ to earth (the Second Coming) which will occur at the close of the Tribulation period. We believe that Christ will rule with His saints for one thousand years upon the earth. Then will come a new heaven and a new earth, wherein righteousness will dwell, which will last for all eternity. (Daniel 12:2; Matthew 25:46; Acts 24:15; I Thessalonians 4:13-18; II Thessalonians 2:1-12; Revelation 20, 21) Current Trends in Religion We take a stand against current trends which lead to the discrediting of the Bible and tend to undermine the fundamentals of the historic faith. We take a separatists stand against Neoorthodoxy, Neo-evangelism, the Ecumenical and Charismatic movements and the modern Tongues movement. We are not a part of the so-called "Messianic movement," and do not start Messianic synagogues, but Baptist churches. (II Timothy 4:1-4)

Since 1949, International Board of Jewish Missions (IBJM) has been reaching out to Gods chosen people, the Jews, with the Good News of Messiah the Lord Jesus Christ. God loves the Jewish people and has a clear, biblical plan for the nation of Israel in the future. However, the most urgent need today is for the individual Jew to receive personal salvation by grace, through faith in the Messiah. Our founder, Dr. Jacob Gartenhaus, dedicated his life to spread the gospel among his people. The ultimate purpose of IBJM is to bring the Jewish people in direct contact with the truth of the gospel. However, we recognize that the responsibility for evangelizing every nation with the gospel lies at the door of the local church. The Bible declares that the gospel of Christ is to the Jew rst, and also to the Greek". Sadly, many believers and churches are not fullling this great responsibility to the Jewish people. Therefore, in addition to assisting the local church in sending missionaries to Jewish communities in the USA and around the world, we are also committed to helping other Christians to spread the gospel to the Jews through their own local church. All Christians can witness to Jewish people. IBJM provides specialized on-site teaching and training to pastors, lay-people, and missionaries to equip them to be more effective in their witnessing to the Jewish people. IBJM also operates a large training center and printing ministry at the World Headquarters in Hixson, Tennessee. We are a faith-based mission organization that operates entirely through the support of churches and individuals who have a burden to see the Jewish people come to Christ.

God the Father We believe that God is supreme in His person, eternal in His being, absolute in His attributes and glorious in His perfection. We believe in one Triune God, Creator of heaven and earth, and that God is manifest in three persons Father, son and Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory. (Exodus 20:2-3; Deuteronomy 6:4-5; Matthew 28:19-20) God the Son We believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, that He was conceived without sin by the Holy Spirit and was born of the virgin Mary. He lived without sin and died a vicarious death, rose bodily from the dead, ascended bodily to heaven, from whence He will come again to rapture believers and raise the righteous dead, and that He will rule and reign for one thousand years upon the throne of His forefather, David, in Jerusalem. (Isaiah 7:14; John 1:1, 14; Galatians 4:4) God the Holy Spirit We believe in the Holy Spirit, that He is a divine Person equal with God the Father and the Son. He convicts the world of sin, righteousness and judgment, and indwells every believer. He inspired the writers of the Bible and lls believers with power for service. However, we believe the temporary "sign gifts" ceased with the complete revelation of Scripture, including speaking in tongues and miracles of healing. (John 3:5; Ephesians 1:13) The Fall of Man We believe that man was created in the image of God, but that he sinned and incurred not only physical death but spiritual death (separation from God) and that all human beings therefore are born with a sinful nature and are also sinners by choice. The wages of sin is death, and death passed upon all men and women. (Genesis 1:27; Isaiah 53:6; Romans 3:23; 5:12-19; 6:23) Salvation of Sinners We believe that salvation is by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, that it is the free gift of God and not of works, lest any man should boast. Salvation is only accomplished by the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, as men put their personal faith and saving trust in Him. (John 3:3-6; Acts 16:31; Ephesians 2:8-10)

Why the Jewish People and Monsey, NY?

"After Christianity and no-religion, Judaism is the third-largest religious afliation in the US, though this identication is not necessarily indicative of religious beliefs or practices. A signicant number of people identify themselves as American Jews on ethnic and cultural grounds, rather than religious ones. For example, 19% of self-identied American Jews believe God does not exist."--wikipedia Because the Jews will perish without the gospel.-- Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Heritage does not save anyone Luke 3:8 Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to [our] father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. There remains only one way for all men (including the Jewish people) to be saved Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. The city of Monsey is situated in the county of Rockland and is a premier suburb of NYC. It is a densely populated city with a 2.2 mile radius and almost 19,000 people. Half the population of Monsey is Jewish, with over 33 synagogues, 90 shuls, and 45 yeshivas. Currently, there is only one evangelical church in the city and no baptist churches. Making it one of the most unchurched areas in New York.

I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid.--Romans 11:1a For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?--Romans 11:15
