Explain the cultural diffusion of Buddhism from ancient India to around the world today.

From research, it will be concluded that Buddhism in the ancient world had strict punishments if people didnt follow Buddhism properly. Also, Buddhism was easier to spread in ancient times because it was enforced in some kingdoms so more people would follow the religion. In modern times, there are many religions to choose from, so there is less of a chance that people will follow Buddhism. There is much folklore about Buddhist miracles, and over the years, they can become altered, while in ancient times, the stories were fresh and unabridged.
