Overall toning is permitted, but split toning constitutes a colour print. Similarly, adding a spot colour to a monochrome print is considered to make it a colour print. Colour prints with few colours are not acceptable as monochrome and must be entered in the colour section. Prints may be made using conventional silver-based technology or by use of electronic/ mechanical processes. Electronic enhancement/manipulation is acceptable although such procedures must be entirely the work of the author. Where multiple images are used all constituent parts must be the original work of the author who holds the copyright. The number of entries in each heat of the competition is limited to a maximum of TWO prints per author. All prints must be mounted on mounts 40 cm x 50 cm. Mounts that are not this size will not be accepted. There is no restriction on image size or shape within this limit but for practical purposes should not be less than about 20 cm x 25cm. Mark the back of the print with: Entrants name, Class (1, 2 or 3), Title of print. Prints must not have any abrasive material such as Velcro on their reverse side.
