Alumni Spotlight
Tavianna Williams Scott Swedberg

I am currently a second year grad student in counsel education and student affairs at Clemson University. I am still an active member of Delta Sigma Theta, participating in several local chapters. The most important thing I took out of Greek Life was learning to be OK with agreeing to disagree, people wont always agree with everyone and it is really important to be able to recognize that everyone will stand by their opinions and you dont have to agree. The biggest things I took away from Greek Life were developing my communication skills both writing and in person, being dedicated to something for as long as you
live, and having passion for everything in which youre involved.

Im currently living in Tucson, AZ, working with the University of Arizona. Im very involved in SigEp as an alumnus. Not only do I continue to advise my SigEp chapter at Elon, I work for SigEp Headquarters. Last year I traveled throughout California, Arizona, and Nevada consulting with chapters to improve operations and this year Im responsible for growing the fraternity by starting new chapters and revitalizing underperforming chapters. Im currently starting the chapter at the University of Arizona. Greek Life has allowed me to know people all over the country, and my professional and personal network is tremendous, allowing me to find friendship and mentorship almost anywhere I go.
