DIARY April 20, 2013 11:30 A.M.

Dear Diary, It was our 6th day of interaction with our patient. And yet we are really closer to socialization. Since, we have a lot of interaction and had developed a deeper trusting relationship with our patient. I can say that I have met all the goals in my patient and to me as well. It was really a relief that I have learned a lot forms my patient. Considering that they have mental illness, I am proud that my patient and the other patient as well are all improving especially they met the objectives we have planned from every activities. I can see that those patients are enhancing their participation skills, artistic and cognitive abilities and most of all they are gaining their trust with the other student nurses. Though they have an unstable moods swing which is considerable because of their condition, still they are able to express their feelings and emotions towards every therapies. My patient, J.D.A. is really improving also. She can participate and formulate sense of independence and selfgovernance which is one of my objectives to her. As a student nurse, I know I am improving, from the leadership, caring, communication and to the therapeutic use of self also. It was such a learning experience.
