3.3.4 Shipping Loads

The equipment shall also be designed / checked for being suitable to withstand shipping loads to prevent the shell from buckling or being overstressed during shipment. The Vendor shall provide recommended shipping support and lashing instructions. The following accelerations are applicable:

Notes: 1. For ocean shipment, lateral and vertical loads shall act simultaneously. 2. Longitudinal and lateral loads might be plus or minus (i.e., they might act in either direction). The loading imposed during transport and shop / field handling including the requirements for temporary supports, lifting etc., shall be evaluated and included in the design of the equipment.

3.3.5 Platform and ladders loads

3.3.6 Load combinations

The Steam Drum shall be designed by the Vendor to withstand loading imposed by internal or external pressure, weights (shipping, operating, test) in horizontal and/or vertical position (whatever may be applicable), reactions of supports, impact, temperature and external loading. External loading includes piping thermal loads, dead loads, platform loads, wind loads or seismic loads. The Vendor shall also evaluate the loading imposed during transport and field handling including the requirements for temporary supports, lifting etc.
