RESPONSIBILITIES
Assess emergency or threat and impact to students, staff school property and surrounding community Activate emergency plan and Incident Command System Establish an Incident Command Post Develop and communicate a plan of action Provide district with site specific status Authorize any release of public information to Director of School Services (Cheryl Bodger) Begin student release procedures (when it is safe to do so) Make provisions for mental health counseling Make provisions for language translations Release teachers as appropriate Declare end of emergency-initiate recovery, if appropriate Remain in charge of campus until redirected/released by superintendent of schools or relieved by fire or law enforcement incident commander

FUNCTION
Operations Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate Staff Buddy Assignments Coordinate Student Messengers Coordinate Search and Rescue Coordinate Transport Team Coordinate Campus Check and Security Make sure teams have enough supplies Reassign staff as needed Schedule breaks and back-ups for staff Coordinate mental health response activities Check with ICP for situation briefing Open disaster container Distribute supplies, kits, etc Set-up various staging area(s) for sanitation, feeding, etc. Emergency water, gas, electric shut off. Secure gates Determine whether additional supplies, personnel or equipment is needed Make arrangements for transport of supplies and lodging of personnel Report any damage via radio to ICP Post yellow caution tape around damaged or hazardous areas Route fire and rescue, ambulance and police to area of need (enter on Oak Crest to Yvette Ave through parking lot to blacktop area Determine resources that are available for immediate school use: water, food, power, radio, telephones and sanitary conditions

FUNCTION
Staff Evacuation/ Accounting All Staff

PERSONNEL

RESPONSIBILITIES
Evacuate classroom using predetermined (Exit 1 or Exit 2) emergency routes. Take Emergency Backpack to assigned number in evacuation area. (Do not walk under overhangs) If student is injured but able to be moved, assign buddy to escort to assigned evacuation area. Attend to students with life threatening issues of Airway, Bleeding, or Shock. Leave those students to receive further treatment from search and rescue. If student is injured and unable to be moved, leave student and account for him/her on accountability sheet. Inform all students that if an emergency occurs during recess or lunch, they are to report to the evacuation area and line up according to classroom. Every teacher takes his/her own attendance with Wittmann Student Accounting Form. Assign student runner to deliver the Accounting Form to Accounting Coordinator. If you have an assigned Emergency Role, give your accounting form to your Buddy and immediately report to ICP. Buddy will give all attendance rosters to Accounting Coordinator. After attendance is taken, have all students sit down in a line and reassure students throughout the emergency. Monitor students while they remain in class line at evacuation area until released to authorized adult or directed to return to classroom or dispersed by principal or designee.

Take: Emergency Backpack including Attendance Roster, First Aid Kit, notepad, pencil and highlighter. In case of earthquake, exit when shaking stops, leave door open.

Evacuation Location Grass area adjacent to park for attendance.

Search and Rescue

RESPONSIBILITIES
Report to Emergency Bin for instructions and equipment. Communicate with ICP. Proceed in orderly and preestablished sweep pattern, checking each classroom, storage room, MPR, etc. visually, vocally, and physically. Report the location of all injured students and staff to Operations Manager. Call Operations Manager to assign Transport Team to remove injured students and relay information to First Aid Center. After attending to all emergency situations, the teams will do a final all clear. Report to ICP at completion of all tasks. During an actual disaster, do not move critical students per fire marshall.

EQUIPMENT/SUPPLIES
TAKE: Buckets containing supplies in the emergency container. Chalk, markers, hard hats, walkie talkie, duct tape, latex gloves, first aid supplies, eye protection, crowbar, dust masks. Emergency Plan Extra batteries with flashlights Master key with whistle on lanyard from ICP

RESPONSIBILITIES
After attendance is taken and search and rescue is complete, immediately begin the process of reuniting students with their parents or guardians. Check the ID of the person picking up the student and make sure they are on their Emergency Release form Fill out student release form and send it with sixth grade student runner to the Evacuation area. Send the parent/guardian to the Reunion Gate and inform them the student will meet them there. Let the parent/guardian know their ID will be checked again at the Reunion Gate and they must sign a release form

Students will be sent to the Reunion Gate with a student release form. Check to make sure the person picking up the student is the same person that is listed on the student release form. Check the persons ID before releasing the student. Have the parent/guardian sign out the student and destination on the release form as they are released. Inform ICP of status of operations periodically.

First Aid Center

PERSONNEL

RESPONSIBILITIES
Administers first aid and record information on extent of injuries and first aid Determines need for medical attention Works with Search and Rescue team in getting injured students to First Aid Center Keeps track and records time and location of injured students/staff. Report information to Parent Request Gate and Reunion Gate. Notify Operations Chief of students who have checked into First Aid Center and in crisis area. Manage Accountability Sheets delivered from all teachers. Work in concert with the Operations Manager to communicate the location of injured students to be transported to first aid area. Stay in communication with Student Release team and manage student runners to escort exiting students. Stay in communication with ICP to relay pertinent information regarding any issues in the evacuation area.
