( Key ideas from my essays (in Dutch) and website pages: www.ministrando.org )
This plan is about the responsibility of each individual to be at the service of other people,
in a world where being rich must be seen as a shame, where pretending to know the truth
is considered as an offense, where people who kill other people in the name of God or Al
lah are seen as possessed by the devil, and where we care for the wellbeing of future
generations by restricting our consumption to a strict minimum. In other words: the sense
of human life lies beyond what human beings can comprehend since love is divine.
The human being becomes humane if he takes his moral responsibility towards the Other.
The Other (with a capital because he is the centre of my universe; his interests take pre
cedence over mine) that is my neighbor with whom I have a direct relation, that is the
stranger who lives far away e.g. in Third World countries, and the Other refers also to fu
ture generations who will live on the planet that we shall leave for them.
Democracy is a step forward in civilization on one condition, namely that the leaders and
the people respect moral principles.
The islamization of Europe is a punishment of God for the apostasy of Europeans.
The tragedy of islamic countries is that a second Golden Age is prevented by a small
minority of fanatics, possessed by the devil, who murder moderate politicians and wise
men and women who interpret mercifully the Koran.
Kosovo independent? Because Muslims have 10 or 13 children? Is that a argument to give
up territory? That is ridiculous.
The last 50 years the population in western countries augmented with 47% and in islamic
countries with 235%. Is there any European politician who has the courage to make the
right conclusions about these figures?
Turkish people have to explain why in 1920 there were 2.000.000 Christians in Turkey and
now only a few thousands (the same question must be answered by Syrians, Lebanese,
and people from other islamic countries).
One of the major problems that threatens our near future is demographic explosion in is
lamic countries and Third World countries. The next world war seems inevitable as ten
sions will explode. The sole solution for this gigantic problem is access to education for all
children. Oil revenues must be allocated for better education and health care for the
masses.
The future of Africa is brilliant. In Ethiopia for example, the population of 72 million in
creases every year with 2 million ...
Western critic of Muslims, immigrants, black people could be right, but all these people are
more humane than the extreme rich elite, especially in the United States, who are so self
confident and happy with themselves. From God's point of view, the Evil Empire could be
situated at the other side.
Our environment is in critical condition. We can no longer trust on political or technical
solutions. Our planet is the creation of God. We must respect all living organisms by living
frugally and taking our responsibility (limiting traffic, buying regional products, not purchas
ing useless products, giving preference to products of craftsmanship, ...).
Economic growth equals moral decline.
We are polluting the air at such a great scale that in our suffocation we will cry desperately
for help to God. Contemporary conflicts and wars will be trifles in comparison with this self
inflicted disaster. It is already too late.
Economic activities and employment must be equitably distributed over all regions in the
world so that emigration will stop and immigrants can return to their home countries. The
dismantlement of our multicultural societies will stop mounting racial tensions and will res
ult in a better world with more solidarity between nations and prosperity for all (for those
who will survive the total disaster of pollution).
Very rich people are a shame for human civilization.
The spread of arms of mass destruction has brought humanity on the verge of total dis
aster. Arms production and traffic must become completely transparent under the control
of an international organization. The production must be limited to defensive weapons. All
revenues from arms trade must be allocated for welfare and developing aid.
Arms exporting countries are rogue states.
Despite of the progress they made possible, natural sciences and physics paved the way
towards the destruction of our ecosystem (by eating the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge,
men seek to be like God, but our pride goes before a fall).
In the United Nations and other international organizations there must be no place for lead
ers, ambassadors and other diplomats from countries were political opponents, dissidents
and human right activists are tortured or murdered. We have to consider the representat
ives of these countries as brutes and murderers who must appear for court (for example
those who are responsible for recent genocides).
The United Nations, the European commission and other international or supranational or
ganizations must set a good example for all people in the world. That means modest salar
ies, a sober life style, transparency and a restricted number of personnel. We don't need in
our contemporary institutions an elite who functions as a prodigal royal household in an
cient times.
Christians can play a crucial role in the salvation of our world. They must reconstruct a
more contemplative world where care for the Other take precedence over our selfin
terests.
