Should Schools be allowed to Limit Students Online Speech?

How much longer will it take to stop Cyberbully? Cyberbully has gone way out of hand and is becoming a widespread problem. Online Bullying has become a problem for schools across the world. How many students, teachers and parents have to suffer to the pain of cyberbullying before it could end? Although some students dont bully others online, schools should limit students online speech. Cyberbullying has gone way out of hand and is becoming a widespread problem. Many students had said that these emails and text messages have been disrupting themselves from learning. Some been caught cyberbullying and said that there civil rights have been violated from the Constitution. How much longer will this take to stop Cyberbullying? One reason why schools districts should limit students online speech is because cyberbullying is becoming a widespread problem that affects the students, teachers and almost everyone in the community. According to a graph presented by Sameer Hinduja and Justin Patchin from the Cyberbullying Research Center in February 2010, say 25% of girls and 17% of boys have been bullied over their life time and we dont want those numbers to grow. At least 19% of teachers say that it affected their home life. Teens frequently use a wide variety of technology to post something online, of which can reach hundreds or even thousands. School officials are responsible for maintaining an environment in which everyone can learn. They also must protect the safety of their students. There are some who will argue that schools should not limit students online speech. A reason why they may state includes the idea that cyberbullying is not very disruptive to the learning environment. However, others are fighting for the free speech that of which is protected by the Constitution which doesnt affect teachers or students. Many have been complaining that schools violated their students rights from the First Amendment.
