Graduate fellow in the M.S Program for Art Conservation. Concentration: Objects Supervisor: Objects Conservator Bruno Pouliot 2nd Year: Assessment and treatment of a variety of materials including: porcelain, a wooden model boat from Yap island, archaeological glass, silver, an archaeological copper alloy relief, painted tin-plated iron and vegetable ivory. A scientific technical analysis conducted on a painted tin-plated iron coffee pot. Seminars during the year cover subjects such as: silver coating, reducing ceramic stains, feather cleaning, basketry repair, mist consolidation and the ethics of ethnographic conservation. 1 Year: An overview of the material science and conservation of: paper, textiles, objects (organic and inorganic), library materials, photographs, furniture and paintings. Students are also trained in preventive conservation, photography, writing in-depth condition reports, and microscopy.

Supervisors: Wendy Walker and Carolyn Riccardelli Third-year graduate student objects conservation intern As an intern, I am completing a variety of projects ranging from the restoration of Meissen porcelain to the treatment of a nineteenth century Japanese iron sculpture, a Chinese horn cup and crizzling glass. The internship involves coordinating with a number of different supervisors, and combines treatment with art historical research, photographic documentation, scientific analysis and consultations with curators.

Conservation Intern Worked with archaeological ceramics, glass, organics, textiles and metals. Projects included: reconstruction of a large hole mouth jar, cleaning and reconstruction of a glass bowl, cleaning of textiles and a basket fragment, and cleaning copper alloy and silver coins. I learned about new techniques and materials suited to the fast-paced environment of the Authority, and had the opportunity to visit several other conservation labs in Jerusalem and ongoing excavation sites.

Conservation Intern Cleaned, stabilized and restored recently excavated archaeological artifacts including: ceramics, metal coins, glass, bone and painted plaster. Maintained the storage and transportation of fragile objects. Consulted on-site during the excavation, and created plaster casts to facilitate the block-lifting of ceramic vessels.
New York, NY Supervisors: Paintings Conservator Sandra Amann and Objects Conservator Lisa Bruno Conservation Intern 1 day per week. Carried out the treatments of epoxy maquettes by Franois-Xavier Lalanne. Filled and inpainted losses, replicated missing elements.

Tasks included: Mixing reagents and spot testing, building archival display drawers, creating storage boxes and supports, building a travel bed for mummy Demetrios, cleaning, hinging, and repair of paper artwork, ceramic repair, silver polishing and coating, insect infestation identification, accession numbering objects and textiles. IMLS Photography Coordinator September 2009-June 2010 1 day per week. Organized, evaluated and transferred all objects to be photographed for the Museums Institute of Museum and Library Services photography project. Housekeeper of Objects September 2009-January 2010 2 days per week. Cleaned objects and painting frames on view in the galleries Textile Rehousing Coordinator December 2008-March 2009 IMLS storage relocation project: Worked with Collections Management, Conservation, Registrars and Curatorial staff to oversee location inventory, workflow of art handlers, planning and budgeting for the relocation of ethnographic textile collections in storage. Duties included preparing storage housings; loading/unloading, packing/unpacking, and moving crated/uncrated works of art.

Experience with the following scientific analysis techniques: Ultraviolet illumination, polarized light microscopy, X-ray fluorescence (XRF), scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive spectroscopy (SEM-EDS), Raman spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS), reflectance transform imaging (RTI). Proficient in Spanish Knowledge of HTML code, Adobe Dreamweaver, Photoshop, In-Design. Experience in the fine arts: Drawing, painting, photography (digital and silver gelatin), ceramics, wood working.
